Forward Savannah Norcross will join the Maroon & Gold as a senior transfer.

MINNEAPOLIS - The Golden Gopher women's hockey team and head coach Brad Frost are pleased to announce the addition of Savannah Norcross, a forward from Lynn, Mass., who will join the Maroon & Gold as a senior for the 2021-22 season.

Norcross comes to the Gophers from Boston College where she tallied 26 goals and 41 points over three seasons. The right-hander led Boston College in goals last season with 12. The rising senior finished her career-best 2020-21 season with 21 points in 20 games, also good for the Boston College team lead.

"We are happy to have Savannah joining our program," said head coach Brad Frost. "She brings some great college hockey experience, is hard on the puck and has a knack for finding the back of the net. We look forward to bringing her into our culture."

Norcross played in 93 career games for Boston College, posting a 26g-15a—41pts stat line. Her impressive junior season saw her ranked seventh in the nation in goals, 14th in the nation in points, and fifth in the nation in game-winning points with seven. Norcross also recorded her first multi-goal game on Jan. 31, and finished the season with six multi-point games. After her breakout season, Norcross received an invitation to the U.S. Women's National Team Evaluation Camp.

The 5-7 forward joins the Gophers while she pursues her Bachelor's degree in human development and psychology at the University of Minnesota.

Norcross joins seven incoming freshmen to make up the newest class of Gophers for the 2021-22 season as Emma Conner, Peyton Hemp, Ella Huber, Sadie Lindsay, Tristana Tatur, Skylar Vetter, and Emily Zumwinkle are set to join the Maroon & Gold as rookies.
